Preventative Maintenance

Skye Lighting Services maintenance agreement is a comprehensive way to protect your image and reduce liability by keeping your signs and lighting in top working condition. Designed to exceed expectations, our customized maintenance programs showcase your image, improve efficiency, increase security and enhance your environment. SLS determines a flat monthly rate for service which eliminates unexpected sign/lighting repair expenses. All labor and materials for maintenance and repairs for the signs and lighting components listed in the agreement are covered, including lamps, ballast, neon, transformers, sockets and wiring. Our night patrols survey the condition of your exterior lighting and schedules service as needed, often we are able to repair the outages before anyone has even noticed.

Once lamps reach over half of their expected life their output is considerably reduced, also dirt and dust collect on light fixture which reduces its lumens. Group Relamping Skye Lighting Services offers interior and exterior relamp programs in which we clean and replace every lamp in your facility or parking lot at the same time. Group relamping is the best practice if you consider labor savings, interruption costs, bulk purchase opportunities, improved color uniformity, fixture cleaning, improved light levels, and reduced maintenance time. We are able to audit your lighting system, recommend a relamp cycle based on the average rated lamp life and provide system alternatives that offer features and benefits to meet your budget. Group relamping consists of replacing all the lamps in a building or parking lot at the same time. Lamps that are near the end of life contribute to the loss of effective lighting. Generally speaking group relamping should be scheduled at the 70% rated lamp life. Besides maintaining image, replacing lamps as a group also increases staff productivity and patron satisfaction.
